We offer trial services for non-standard longitudinal waste, and recently conducted a successful trial for a client involving a range of waste wires. The trial was conducted using a SWEED CE450DDX 3-phase chopper, and proved to be useful for both Balecom and our customer. The chopper was able to effectively chop thinner and more pliable wires without issue.

However, it is important to note that the chopper may encounter difficulties with thicker wires that have kinks, twists, or excessive rigidity, as these may not feed properly into the chopping section past the feed routers. It’s important to note that knives wear out faster when cutting steel compared to plastic. Each knife has 4 cutting edges that can be rotated before needing to be replaced.
